Today is Canada’s first ever National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Call to Action #80 of the 94 recommendations in the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s final report, this day honours residential school survivors and remembers the children who never returned to their families. Let’s all take this opportunity to reflect on Canada’s dark period and how we can move forward.
Most of our clients will be working today, and so will EHSP. However, with so many events happening across the country virtually and in person, there are plenty of opportunities to be part of The Healing Path Forward. Below are some helpful links to events happening in the cities we operate in:
- CALGARY – Calgary Foundation – Community Knowledge Centre Events
- EDMONTON – City of Edmonton – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Activities
- OTTAWA – City of Ottawa – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: How you can recognize the day
- WINNIPEG – Manitoba Council for International Cooperation – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Events
